Are we Hungry Enough? [Ep. 47]

Are we hungry enough to fast and pray?

Give and it Shall be Given…

Fasting helps us know the will of God. Fasting is an important part of following Jesus that we’re not always hungry for.  When we add fasting to our praying, the Lord blesses it in many ways, sometimes even unexpected ways.  In this episode, we share a couple personal testimonies of times when God used fasting and prayer to bring about mini-revivals in our own lives as we have been walking with Him.

Matthew 6:16-18

16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Fasting is an effective way to truly humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord.

Ezra 8:21

21 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

*… Fasting increases our hunger for God and our faith in God… There’s a principle in scripture of how decrease can bring increase… We must decrease in order for Him to increase in our lives… Drawing away from food and drawing nearer to God allows Him to increase in us and feed our souls… When we give more of ourselves to God, He gives more of Himself to us… “Give and it shall be given” Are we hungry enough to fast and pray?

The Best Defense [Ep. 43]

Defend Ourselves?

or Let God be our Defense?

People try to shield and defend themselves against so many things, but man’s very best defenses will always fail in some way.  Only God can defend us perfectly.
Genesis 15:1
1 After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
2 Samuel 22:1-4
1 Then David spoke to the LORD the words of this song, on the day when the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.
2 And he said: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer…
3 The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.
4 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
These are shields in God’s creation that are available to everyone, but the Greatest Shield is only provided to those who belong to Jesus….
Psalms 18:35
35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation.
Please listen to the end and share with someone else who may be needing encouragement.

Be encouraged. Be blessed. Share the blessing.

YES I WILL [EP. 42]

Are you Willing?…

To be Willing?

On today’s show we will talk a little about the will.  God has a perfect will for each one of us, but then what about our choices? How do choices affect the will of God?  Many times throughout the Bible, we see examples of people who are willing or unwilling to obey God and the consequences.  Then we also see many examples of God being willing to move on behalf of someone. There are so many beautiful examples of us being willing and God also being willing or unwilling.  It’s really exciting to know how intimately He cares for the details of our lives and how He desires to be involved, to be sought out, and to move on our behalf in so many ways.
Romans 12:2
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
In the Bible, the “I Wills” & Willingness of God towards us is so amazing.
Matthew 11:28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mark 1:17
Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.
God wants all to be in His perfect Will, but He requires Willing hearts from all…
Please listen to the end and share with someone else who may be facing challenges and needs encouragement.

Be encouraged. Be blessed. Share the blessing.

His Eye is on the Sparrow [EP. 41]

Are you Trusting?…

Leaning on His Heart?…

On today’s show we want to discuss the tiny and insignificant sparrow, and this will dovetail into a discussion about things that last and never fail…
Also, today we have…  Another exciting episode of the Faith Report!

Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Here’s a little bird quiz: What are the 4 most often mentioned birds in God’s Word?…
#1 Doves (47 Times) #2 Eagles & Owls (27 Times)
#3 Ravens (11 Times) #4 Sparrows (7 Times) …….

– The Hebrew word for sparrow is “tzippor”,which not only means sparrow, but any small bird… Sparrows, in biblical times, were held in contempt by the people… They had very little worth and were even thought to be annoying…But God sees differently…

Matthew 10:27-31
27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.
28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
(Luke 12:6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God.)
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Please listen to the end and share with someone else who may be facing challenges and needs encouragement.
Be encouraged. Be blessed. Share the blessing.

Behold the Lamb [EP. 40]

Passover

What is the significance?

Passover was God’s initiative, and he devised each detail of it on purpose. As Believers, are we missing out on things from the roots of our faith because we see them as traditions of man? God’s festivals were deliberately created to help us appreciate more about God’s plan of redemption.  Where do these festivals come from?  What is the significance biblically?  Why do many Christians still celebrate Easter on a different day than Passover? Let’s dive into the roots of these holidays and learn more about them.  But let’s not just learn about them…

Let’s endeavor to know and to

Behold the Lamb of God as we learn more.

John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold!

The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John said BEHOLD the Lamb! LOOK to Christ!

Have you done that?

Maybe you’ve been looking at other people!

Isaiah 45:22
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

* ARE YOU DOING WHAT JOHN THE BAPTIST SAID… ARE YOU BEHOLDING THE LAMB!… YOU KNOW, WE CAN LOOK AT A LOT OF THINGS IN THIS LIFE THAT DONT PRODUCE LIFE…

– BUT AS MOSES SAID ABOUT SERPENT ON THE POLE AND ISAIAH SAID… LOOK AT YESHUA AND LIVE!!!… AND THAT THIEF ON THE CROSS LOOKED AND LIVED…

AND JESUS SAID IF I BE LIFTED UP ON THE CROSS, I WILL DRAW ALL PEOPLE TO MYSELF……

TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS……

Be encouraged. Be blessed. Share the blessing.
